Welcome to the Ottawa Valley Food Co-operative

‘We need to make it easier, more normal and convenient for people to make environmentally sound choices"
Bob Waldrop

The idea of a local food co-op was pioneered by Robert Waldrop of the Oklahoma City Food Co-op. Bob was here in 2006 and did a presentation at the Marguerite Centre This led to a steering committee of local folks getting behind the plan.

The Ottawa Valley Food Co-operative is a networking project for local food producers and consumers, whereby local consumers can connect with and buy from local food producers.

If you live in the Upper Ottawa Valley and would like to buy and/or sell locally produced food through our monthly online ordering and distribution system, please sign up by clicking on 'Join' at the top of the page.
